Valentine’s Day Activities for your Math Classroom

Valentine’s Day math activities are a great way to still get some math done while having a fun time. Valentine’s Day is actually my favorite “holiday” so to say, and I enjoy having red, white, and pink in the room. Here are some fun Valentine’s Day math activities for you to try with your middle school class.

Math Pun Valentines

Challenge your class to get creative and make some math pun Valentine’s to display or give away.

Percents, Decimals, and Fractions Valentine’s Activity Bundle

Mystery pixel art is always a hit with students. This bundle is no exception. Students will practice percents, decimals, and fractions in this Valentine’s Day math activity

There is also a finding unit rates Valentine’s Day mystery pixel art activity and a writing expressions mystery pixel art activity.

Finding Slope Valentine Drag and Drop Matching Activity

Finding slope made fun! Students will look at the graph and then drag the correlating heart with the slope to the graph. An answer key is included for easy grading and this can easily be assigned through Google Docs.

Transformations Drag-and-Drop Matching Valentine’s Day Activity

This transformation drag-and-drop activity is similar to the finding slope activity. Instead of the slope, however, students will identify the transformations and drag accordingly.

Valentine’s Day Boom Cards

Boom cards make it fun for students to practice skills without thinking about practicing skills. Try these fun distributive property Boom Cards. One deck features integers, while the other does not. If you’d like both, you can save 10% by buying the bundle! Buy on Boom Learning or on Teachers Pay Teachers

You can also try out this ratio and rates activity or even this like terms activity. These Boom Cards are perfect for review as well as adorable! And don’t forget: you can try the first four cards of any Boom Deck for completely free!
