About Me
Hi There! I’m Amanda!
Most days you can find me in my classroom where I have the privilege of working with precious small humans and teaching them about the exciting world known as middle school math. I’m mostly known over at my lifestyle site, Maple Alps, but here at Maple and Math, I try helping other teachers who want to find fun and engaging ideas and resources for teaching while still leading an intentional life.
As a teacher, I’ve learned that it’s sometimes hard to balance home life and school without sacrificing too much on either end. I want to help you make it easier to have engaging lessons and still have a life once you leave the classroom.
I also have a passion, as a Christian teacher in a Christian school, to really approach all of my lessons from a Biblical worldview. Rather than have Spirituality as a side note in my lessons, I love to infuse it in an understandable, creative, and practical way.
When I’m not busy with teaching or working on my blogs, you can find me playing with my sweet kitty, Astra, cuddling our sweet Baby Z, or enjoying some free time with my amazing husband, J. I may likely even be enjoying a core-strengthening session on my Pilates mat.
